Wedding Piano Experience at Samlesbury Hall

Craig has performed at Samlesbury Hall weddings for more than twenty years, providing music for ceremonies in both the Great Hall and chapel, as well as drinks receptions and wedding breakfasts throughout the venue and in the grounds. This long-standing experience means he understands how the different rooms are use and how the music can continue smoothly as the wedding moves from one part of the day to another.

The Great Hall is the centrepiece of many Samlesbury Hall weddings and contains the venue’s own Bechstein grand piano. Craig can perform on this instrument for ceremonies and wedding breakfasts, using its natural sound to fill the timbered hall without introducing a portable piano unnecessarily.

For the chapel, Parlour, drinks receptions and outdoor areas, Craig can provide portable pianos in white, gloss black or an upright-style wooden finish. The black baby grand complements the dark Tudor timbers particularly well, while the white piano is often chosen to suit lighter wedding styling.

In suitable weather, live piano can also accompany guests arriving in front of the Tudor façade and continue outdoors during the drinks reception.

During drinks receptions, wedding breakfasts and early evening celebrations, Craig’s Electronic Requests System allows guests to send song requests directly from their phones. This can turn the music into a lively, guest-led part of the celebration, as shown in the wedding video below.

Craig can also perform alongside selected singers and instrumentalists for ceremonies and drinks receptions, including piano with violin, saxophone or vocals.
